Moving Forward – Join us for the final step in drafting a strategic plan for WPC! We have explored our values, spent time in November studying the trends, where we are now and identifying the elements of our future vision. Now we need to identify the obstacles that stand in our way and develop action ideas to remove those obstacles and help us continue on our journey. This is the final step before we can begin the process of calling a Pastor Nominating Committee!

When: Saturday, April 8th from 8:30 - 12:30

Where: Family Life Center

Let the little children come to me… Our Spring Sunday School term has two more sessions, on April 2 and 9. For those teaching and learning (sometimes both), this has been a reminder of the joys of sharing God’s lessons with the youngest among us. Teaching Sunday School is a matter of having a solid plan and then interacting with a group of young people who want to learn. Will you have impact? You bet. Would you consider teaching Sunday School at Westminster, even on a rotating basis? We have a lot of tremendous resources here at Westminster. Imagine if we had a group willing to teach Sunday school. Maybe your kids are grown, but a new generation is coming along. If interested, please contact our Shared Ministries Coordinator, Gale Smetana at

Honor Flight Honoree – Chuck Crull will be leaving on the Honor Flight to Washington, DC April 25. Chuck served 15-1/2 years in the U.S. Army and was a medic aboard a helicopter during the Vietnam War. On the return trip, the veterans are presented with letters and cards thanking them for their service to our country. If you’d like to send a note or card to Chuck for the presentation on the flight home, just leave it in the church office by Palm Sunday, April 9. Thank you!

Canopy Roof -  The Property Committee would like to thank Ben Fashimpaur for stepping in and putting in a repair on the damaged canopy to hold us until we can get the contractor started on the repair work. Thank you to Maggie York and Bob Warner for spearheading the efforts to work with the insurance company and getting the needed bids. The committee is also working on getting some updates done on our security system. We have some failed sensors that have caused the security company to call in the middle of the night and we need to get that fixed!
